Both the founders of gda and its present day management believe that in Italy there is widespread demand, and a real interest from the general public, in auditing services that, apart from controlling the annual reports, relate moreover to the control of extraordinary operations, checks on contractual terms and conditions, accounting investigations in support of legal procedures and checks on the costs reported in connection with projects subsidised by public bodies.

gda believes therefore that there is a wide range of entities and individuals such as investors, managers, consultants, magistrates and public bodies that now realise that auditing should not be considered as a mere obligation necessarily to be complied with, but can be a useful instrument to support, in full awareness, the most important decisions.

In keeping with this, over the years, gda has diversified its own activities, offering an ever-widening range of auditing services, obtaining significant recognition also at an international level, such as the awarding, via its own international audit association, of important assignments from the European Commission.

Furthermore, foreign investors above all, are requesting more and more frequently a single professional point of reference, able to carry out integrated financial services including not only auditing, but also any other consultancy service. To this end, gda, with the aim of responding to an objective demand of the market, and guaranteeing maximum respect for the need for independence, which is considered above all as an ethical code of conduct and preceding any legal obligation, has continued a steady development of relationships with professional organisations, offering complimentary services that operate in a completely independent fashion.

gda is conscious moreover of the fact that the accounting profession is undergoing a phase of considerable change, as a consequence of the necessities imposed by the globalisation of markets. Such changes make necessary a fundamental modification in the functions and characteristics of corporate information and a process of harmonisation of the underlying principles of accountancy and auditing on a worldwide level.

For this reason, activities of training and professional up dating of our own structure are considered to be a strategic element. Such activity is enriched by experience we have gained by participating in activities carried out by national and international accounting profession organisations.
